Blue Hens
Finish 13th at Bucknell Invitational
LEWISBURG, PA -- The University of
Delaware men's golf team kicked off the 2000-2001 campaign
with a 13th place finish out of 18 teams competing at the
Bucknell Invitational.
Individually for Delaware, Cory
Sheldon led the Blue Hens with a 154. Sheldon fired a 77
each day to finish tied for 30th out of 90 golfers. Gerry
Newell shot 156 to finish in a tie for 40th.
Rider's Bob Whartenby was the top
individual finisher with a two-day total of 142.
The Blue Hens have off next weekend and
take to the links again September 29-30 at the St. John's
Invitational.
