Milowe Places Third as Hens
Finish Second as a Team
CAMDEN, DE &endash; The University
of Delaware mens golf team placed second overall at
the Wesley College Invitational Thursday afternoon at Wild
Quail Golf and Country Club.
Host Wesley took the team title with a
score of 323 over the 6,794-yard, par 72 course. Delaware
was just nine strokes behind at 332 followed by George
Washington, College of New Jersey, and New York University
in the 12-team field.
Delaware freshmen Devin Milowe and
Steve Banks each finished in the top 10 for the Blue
Hens with Milowe placing third with a score of 78, just
three strokes off the lead, and Banks firing an 82 to tie
for ninth place.
Host Wesley placed three players in the
top 10 led by medalist Zac Oakley (75), runner-up Chris Noll
(77), and Adam Frank (81), New York University also placed
three players in the top 10.
Delaware will continue action this
weekend, Apr. 20-22, at the Colonial Athletic Association
championships at Independence Country Club in Richmond,
VA.
