Final Individual Scores

LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Blue Hen sophomore Kevin McLister (at right) placed eighth with a three-round score of 216 to finish at even par and lead the University of Delaware golf team to a fourth place finish out of 15 teams at the Frank Landrey Invitational hosted by Liberty University on Monday and Tuesday.

The tournament was Delaware’s fourth top-four finish in four events this fall, as the Blue Hens finished with a three-round score of 296-290-296-882, 18 over par. Longwood won the team title with a four over par score of 868, followed by Radford at 877, James Madison at 879, and the Blue Hens.

After shooting a one under par 71 in Monday’s first round, McLister shot a 70 and 75 on Tuesday to finish at even par on the par 72, 7,186-yard course. The tournament was McLister’s first top 10 finish in his Blue Hen career.

UD senior captain Tommy Ellison finished in a tie for 15th place after he shot a five over par 73-72-76-221 during the two-day tournament. Sophomores Colin Smith, who shot an 81-77-69-227, and Justin Martinson, who finished at 75-76-76-227; each tied for 41st place at 11 over par.

Blue Hen freshman Stephen Scialo shot a 77-72-79-228 to place 45th at 12 over par.

Brad Miller of Richmond took home medalist honors with a six under par score of 70-71-69-210, finishing three strokes ahead of USC - Aiken’s J.P. Solis, Longwood’s Scooter Burhman and James Madison’s Fielding Brewbaker.

The Blue Hens conclude their 2008 fall season on October 25-26 when they compete in the Lehigh Invitational in Bethlehem, Pa.
