STANTON, Del. -- The University of Delaware "Blue" team is in second place while the "Gold" team sits in 14th place on Saturday following the first day of the Scotty Duncan Invitational held at White Clay Creek Golf Course.

Seton Hall leads the tournament with an even par team score of 288 on Saturday, three strokes ahead of the UD Blue team at 291. Drexel is in third place at 301, while Rutgers and Mount St. Mary’s are tied for fourth at 304.

Delaware sophomore Colin Smith is tied for the individual lead after he shot a two under par 37-33-70 on Saturday. Smith is tied with Seton Hall teammates Ryan Castanet, who shot 35-35-70, and David Sampson, who shot 34-36-70. Blue Hen sophomore Justin Martinson is one shot behind in fourth place after shooting a one under par 37-34-71 on Saturday.

UD senior captain Tommy Ellison is tied for 13th place with a three over par score of 37-38-75, while sophomore Kevin McLister is also tied for 13th place with a score of 36-39-75.

Steve Boerner led the Delaware Gold team with a 41-36-77 to tie for 26th place at five over par. Teammate Greg Matthias is also tied for 26th after he shot 39-38-77, five over par. Bobby Arthur is tied for 67th place with a 12 over par score of 41-43-84, while Mike Barrow sits in 72nd place with a 13 over par score of 41-44-85. Stephen Scialo is tied for 74th with a 15 over par score of 45-42-87, while Royce Jones is tied for 76th place after shooting 47-41-88, 16 over par.

The Scotty Duncan Invitational concludes Sunday with another single round at the White Clay Creek Golf Course.
