Delaware Golfers Tied For Fifth Place Following First Round of Cornell Invitational

ITHACA, N.Y. -- The University of Delaware golf team recorded a team score of 308 and is tied for fifth place out of 15 teams following the first round of the Cornell Invitational.

The second round was suspended due to darkness and will be concluded Sunday morning, followed by the third and final round.

Justin Martison (at right) shot a three over par 40-35-75 on the par 72, 6,855-yard course and is tied for 12th place in the individual standings. Stephen Scialo is also tied for 12th after he shot a three over par 38-37-75.

Kevin McLister is tied for 23rd place after shooting a five over par 39-38-77, while Greg Matthias shot a nine over par 42-39-81 to tie for 55th place.

Bobby Arthur shot a 45-39-84, 12 over par, and is currently tied for 67th place.

Binghamton leads the team standings with a 295 team score, while Bucknell (306), Lafayette (306), Colgate (307), Lehigh (308) and Delaware rounded out the top five.

Will Delano of Colgate leads the individual standings after he shot a one under par 38-33-71, one under par.
