RICHMOND, Va. -- University of Delaware junior Kevin McLister has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Men’s Golfer of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.

McLister, a native of Leesburg, Va. (Loudoun County), earned medalist honors by winning the individual title at the Scotty Duncan Memorial Tournament this Sunday and Monday.

McLister shot a one over par 73 on the par 72, 6,861-yard course at White Clay Creek Golf Club during the tournament’s first round on Sunday . He then recorded an even par 72 on Monday, the lowest round of the tournament, to record his first individual title as a Blue Hen. McLister’s round on Monday featured four consecutive birdies at one point, as he cruised to a three-shot victory.

McLister currently ranks second with a 75.33 round average for Delaware, which earned their first team title since winning the Cornell Invitational on September 27, 2008.

McLister and the Blue Hens return to action this Saturday and Sunday when Delaware competes in the Joe Agee Invitational at The Colonial Golf Club in Williamsburg, Va.
