TULSA, Okla. -- Blue Hen golfer Kevin McLister shot a six over par 76 on Monday during the first round of the 109th United States Amateur Championship.

McLister (Leesburg, Va./Loudoun County) finished six over par on the par 70, 7,331-yard course at Cedar Ridge Country Club to tie for 114th place following the first day and will play the par 70, 7,093-yard course at Southern Hills Country Club on Tuesday. Following Tuesday’s round, the top 64 golfers will continue with match play the rest of the tournament to determine the champion.
