At Delaware: Enters his senior season ranked 18th in school history with a 78.27 career stroke average. 2007-08 Season: Played in five tournaments, averaging 80.09 shots over 11.5 rounds • finished 43rd at the Lafayette Invitational after shooting a 78-78-156, his best performance of the year • shot a 79-79-158 at the East Carolina Invitational • placed 47th at the CAA Championships after shooting a 78-78-79-235 • earned team's Grinder Award. 2006-07 Season: Played in two tournaments as a sophomore, playing five rounds at a 79.00 average • finished 40th at the CAA Championships with a three-day score of 233, shooting a season-low 75 in the final round. 2005-06 Season: Shot 20 rounds in his freshman campaign, posting a 77.05 average • placed second in the Wesley Spring Invitational and 18th at the George Washington Invitational during the spring, emerging as one of Delaware's top young players • placed 50th in the CAA Championships with a three-day score of 246 • shot season-low 71 at James Madison Invitational and matched it at Wesley.

High School: Excelled in golf at Bethlehem Catholic High School, where he was a two-year MVP and a three-time all-league and all-conference pick • won three individual conference crowns • finished 12th at 2003 state championship • 2003 Eastern Pennsylvania amateur champion.

Personal: Stephen Jeffrey "Steve" Boerner ("burner") • son of Jeffrey and Carol Boerner • has a sister, Sarah • uncle, Chris, played football at Notre Dame • business leadership major at Delaware.
