Golfers Place 14th at Princeton
Invitational
PRINCETON, NJ -- Mike Ladden fired
a second day 75 to place 22nd overall and lead the
University of Delaware golf team to a 14th place team finish
at the Princeton Invitational Saturday at Springdale Country
Club.
Ladden shot 77=75=152 for the two-day
tournament to lead all Blue Hen golfers and placed 22nd in
the 120-player field.
Delaware finished with a two-day team
total of 626 to place 14th in the 20-team field. Georgetown
won the team title with a score of 591 followed by Rutgers
(597), Temple (599), Princeton Black (600), and Navy (601).
Temple's Steve Probst and Princeton's Ben McConahey tied for
medalist honors at 143.
Also for Delaware, Terry Maguire
placed 31st with a 154 (76-78), Mark Swinger was
69th at 159 (78-81), and Graig O'Brien was 84th at
161 (78-83).
Delaware will host the annual Scotty
Duncan Memorial Tournament this weekend at Hog Neck Golf
Club in Easton, MD.
