Golfers Place 8th; Ladden 7th at Temple

WYNCOTE, PA -- Mike Ladden placed tied for
seventh with a two day total of 153 to lead the University
of Delaware golf team to an eighth place finish at the
Temple Invitational Saturday at Wyncote Country Club.
Ladden followed a 76 Friday with a 77 Saturday to tie for
seventh overall, the best individual finish by a Blue Hen
player this spring. The Hens placed tied for seventh with
Towson in the 15-team field with a two-day total of 641.
The team finish was also the highest of the spring for
Delaware this season.
Seton Hall, led by individual medalist Mike Costigan
(75-73=148), won the team honors with a two-day total of 611
followed by Navy (616), Georgetown (617), George Washington
(622), and host Temple (624).
Also for Delaware, Graig O'Brien shot 80-79=159,
Mark Swinger shot 79-85=164, Terry Maguire
shot 81-84=165, and Jason Phinney shot 81-92=173.
