WEST PALM BEACH, FLA -- The University of Delaware golf team opened its spring schedule with a 17th place finish at the fourth annual Northwood University Invitational at West Palm Beach Country Club March 8-9. The Blue Hens shot a team total of 322-319=641 over two rounds to place 17th out of 20 teams. Huntingdon College won the event with a team score of 590 followed by Florida Atlantic, Springhill, Lynn, and Webber. Mike Ladden (82-76), Mark Swinger (75-83), and Graig O'Brien (81-77) all shot 158 for the 36-hole event to lead the Blue Hens. No finishes after the top 10 were available. Also for the Hens, Ben Fenicle (84-84) shot 168 and Jason Phinney (88-83) shot 171. Huntingdon's A. Lang won the event with a score of 71-74=145.
