A 1984 graduate of the University of Delaware, Brooking was an
All-American in both field hockey and lacrosse during her career in the
early 1980's. She earned All-American honors in field hockey in 1980 and
1981 and in lacrosse in 1982 and 1983. She was a key member for all
three Blue Hen women's lacrosse national championship titles in 1981-83.
She was named Delaware's Outstanding Senior Female Athlete in 1982-83
and was a member of the U. S. national teams in both field hockey and
lacrosse as well. Currently a teacher at Wilmington Friends School, she
is a member of the Delaware Sports Hall of Fame.
