NEWARK, Del. -- The heavy snows that fell throughout the area on Friday and Saturday have forced the University of Delaware men’s and women’s basketball contests this weekend to be rescheduled for this Monday, Feb. 8, beginning at 1 p.m.

The Delaware men’s game vs. UNC Wilmington, originally scheduled for Saturday before being pushed back a day, will now be played at 1 p.m. Monday at the Bob Carpenter Center. The Blue Hen women, who were scheduled to host George Mason Sunday at 2 p.m., will now play the Patriots in the second game of the doubleheader Monday at approximately 3:30 p.m. or 35 minutes following the conclusion of the men’s game.

Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. and all Bob Carpenter Center seating, both gameday and season, will be general admission. University of Delaware student seating will remain in Sections 11, 12, 13, and 14. Courtside seating will be available only to those with existing tickets to that area.

Fans who have already purchased tickets for either the men’s or women’s game will be admitted on that ticket and will have the opportunity to watch both games. Those wishing to attend the women’s game only can purchase tickets at standard women’s game pricing at the conclusion of the men’s game.

Gameday tickets will go on sale Monday with a price of $12 for both games. Children 12 and under will be admitted to the game free based on seat availability.

Men’s Basketball will take on UNC Wilmington at 1 p.m. and Women’s Basketball will play George Mason approximately 35 minutes after the completion of the first game.
