NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware men's basketball team will face Bucknell on Saturday, February 21 in Lewisburg, Pa. as part of the ESPNU BracketBusters, it was announced Monday night.

The game will begin at 2 p.m.

The contest will be Delaware’s fourth in the event, which began in 2003 and this season features 102 teams from 17 conferences. Thirteen games will be televised on the ESPN networks on February 20 and 21, with the remaining 36 games on February 21. The Delaware-Bucknell game will not be televised.

Delaware, which is 9-14 overall and 3-8 in the Colonial Athletic Association, is led by sophomore guard Jawan Carter, who is averaging a team-high 15.7 points per game. Alphonso Dawson is contributing 15.3 points per contest, while Marc Egerson is adding 14.7 points and a team-best 10.3 rebounds a game.

Bucknell is just 5-16 on the season but the Bison have defeated the two CAA opponents they have faced this season, recording home victories over Old Dominion (83-82 in double overtime) and Drexel (81-75).

Justin Castleberry leads Bucknell with 11.7 points per game, while Bryan Cohen adds 11.6 points per game and Patrick Behan is contributing 11.3 points and a team-best 5.8 rebounds per contest.

The Blue Hens and Bison are former conference rivals, as both schools were members of the Middle Atlantic Conference and East Coast Conference from 1958 through 1990.

Bucknell leads the all-time series with Delaware, 51-33, although the teams haven't faced each other since an 81-57 Bison victory in Lewisburg on December 4, 1996.

As part of the BracketBusters contract, the Bison will face the Blue Hens at the Bob Carpenter Center during the 2009-10 season.

Other BracketBusters games involving CAA teams include VCU at Nevada, Loyola (MD) at Drexel, George Mason at Creighton, Georgia State at Eastern Michigan, Hofstra at Fairfield, Gardner-Webb at James Madison, Elon at UNC Wilmington, Northeastern at Wright State, Liberty at Old Dominion, Morgan State at Towson, and Manhattan at William & Mary.
