NEWARK, Del. -- Former University of Delaware men’s basketball player Marc Egerson has signed with Ironi Nahariya of the Israel Premier League.

Egerson will head overseas this week to begin preparing for Ironi Nahariya’s season, which begins in October and runs through April.

Egerson started all 32 games for the Blue Hens as a senior in 2008-09, leading the Blue Hens with 15.4 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. He also averaged 2.6 assists per game, and was the only player in Division I to average over 15 points, 10 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest.

A first team All-Colonial Athletic Association and first team NABC All-District 10 selection, Egerson led the conference with 10.3 rebounds per game, 8.6 defensive rebounds per game, and 36.4 minutes played per game. He recorded 14 double-doubles on the year and reached the 20-point mark 12 times, including a season-high 28 in the season-opener against Rutgers.

Despite playing just two seasons at Delaware, Egerson ranks 10th in school history with 17 double-doubles, 19th with 89 three-pointers made, 29th with 496 rebounds, and 41st with 814 points.
