NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware men’s basketball team will play on television five times while the women will appear twice during the 2009-10 regular season, as the Colonial Athletic Association announced its basketball package Tuesday at the league’s Media Day.
The Blue Hen men’s team will host Drexel on Saturday, January 2 at 2 p.m. and host Towson on Saturday, January 16 at 12 noon, both on The Comcast Network. Delaware’s home game against Northeastern, which will be televised by ESPNU, has been moved to Tuesday, February 2 at 9 p.m.
The Blue Hens will host UNC Wilmington on Saturday, February 6 at 12 noon on Comcast SportsNet, while Delaware’s game at Drexel on Saturday, February 13 at 12 noon will be shown by The Comcast Network.
The Comcast Network will televise all four CAA Tourament Quarterfinal games on Saturday, March 6 and both semifinal games the following day, while the championship game on Monday, March 8 will be shown by ESPN.
The Delaware women will play at Drexel on Sunday, January 31 at 12 noon in a game that will be televised by The Comcast Network, while the Blue Hens’ home contest against Georgia State on Sunday, February 14 at 12 noon will be telecast by Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia and Mid-Atlantic.
Additionally, The Comcast Network will broadcast both CAA Tournament Semifinals on Saturday, March 13, while The Comcast Network and Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic will televise the championship game the following day.
