NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware men’s basketball team will hold a holiday toy drive prior to the Blue Hens’ home game against Ohio University on Saturday, December 12.
Fans are encouraged to donate a new, unwrapped, non-violent toy for boys and girls ages 4-12 in the Bob Carpenter Center lobby from 12:30 p.m. through halftime of the game, which begins at 2 p.m.
All toys that are received will be given to children at the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington during the holiday season.
Founded in 1940, the hospital is an 180-bed facility that offers all specialties of pediatric medicine, surgery, and dentistry.
