Showed signs of improvement throughout last season after a year away from game action and suffering a broken wrist just prior to his transfer from University of Wisconsin....2000-01 Season: Started all 30 games...had eight double-figure scoring games...had 11 points in 19 minutes (4 for 7 shooting from the field, including his first collegiate three-pointer) in UD's America East semifinal win over Northeastern...had a season-high 17 points in just 18 minutes in Delaware's loss at Maine (January 27)...grabbed a season-high nine rebounds in Delaware's regular season finale against Hartford (February 24)...shot 55.5% from the field, which was tops on the team but did not qualify for NCAA or conference leaders (min. 5.0 FG per game)…1999-2000 Season: Sat out per NCAA Transfer regulations after transferring from University of Wisconsin.

At University of Wisconsin

1998-99 Season: Appeared in seven games as a freshman in a reserve role...did not score in 12 minutes of action...pulled down three rebounds...member of team that advanced to NCAA East Regional at Charlotte, NC in 1999 &endash; same regional as Delaware...suffered a broken wrist in off-season that prevented him from playing in the summer of 1999.

Prep School

Played his 1997-98 season at Berkshire Prep School in Sheffield, MA...averaged 23 ppg and 12 rpg to earn first-team All-Tri-State League...also ran cross country and track.

High School

Three-year varsity letterwinner at Teaneck (NJ) High School...led Teaneck in scoring as a senior (17 ppg) and averaged 9.0 rpg to earn Group IV All-State First-team honors and second-team all-state overall honors...was also named all-league first-team and All-Bergen County First-team...also earned "high honorable mention" honors from Street & Smith Magazine as a senior...team was 64-11 in his three varsity seasons...as a junior, he earned first-team all-league and all-county honors when he averaged 16.5 ppg and seven rebounds.

Maurice Sessoms...born Dec. 28, 1978 in New York, NY...son of Lincoln and Florine Sessoms...communications major at Delaware...played in high school with Peter Vigniar (Michigan), Michael Nurse (Iowa State), and David West (Xavier).
