As a Blue Hen: Quick, athletic forward who learned a great deal in his freshman season...will see significant increase in action as a sophomore...ability to play in the low post or out on the wing.

2002-03 Season: Appeared in all 29 games as a sophomore with 25 starts...scored in double-figures in four games and Delaware won all four...had the two best games of his career against LIU on December 1 (when he had 16 points and seven blocks) and at home against James Madison (when he had 14 points, 11 rebounds and six assists).

2001-02 Season: Developed throughout his freshman season and became a part of the regular rotation the last month of the season...appeared in 24 games as a rookie...scored a season-high of seven points on two occasions... played double-digit minutes in each of the last six games of the season...got his first career start on his homecoming &endash; at Old Dominion in Norfolk (January 7).

High School: Two-year starter at Granby HS...All-Tidewater selection and all-state honorable mention honoree...led team to Class AAA state title in 1999-2000 and runner-up finish in 2000-01...team was a combined 50-7 his last two years at Granby...President of the senior class at Granby...honor roll student.

Personal: Calvin Leon Smith, Jr.... born June 1, 1982...son of Alvin and Deborah Williams and Calvin Smith, Sr....finance major at Delaware...has a younger sister, Myisha...worked with Jacob's Ladder Summer Enrichment Program (a program for at-risk children) as a part of the Each One Reach One mentor program.
