2006-07 Season: Named to CAA All-Academic Second Team • earned UD Team Most Improved Player Award • appeared in all 31 games while starting the final 22 • ranked second on the team with 10.4 points and third with 4.5 rebounds per game • led Delaware with 50 three-pointers made • ranked third in the conference and sixth in a single season at Delaware with a 43.9 three-point field goal percentage • also ranked third in the CAA with an 84.0 free throw percentage and 13th with 3.68 defensive rebounds per game • scored 20 points, hitting 7 of 10 shots from the field, and added eight rebounds in first career start against Niagara (12/28) • scored 12 points, grabbed four rebounds and had two steals versus Towson (1/8) • recorded first career double-double with 12 points and a career-high 12 rebounds at Old Dominion (1/10) • scored 15 points and pulled down four rebounds versus William & Mary (1/13) • posted seven points and eight rebounds against Georgia State (1/17) • had 20 points and four rebounds versus Drexel (1/20) • scored 14 points and handed out two assists at Towson (1/24) • scored seven points, including a three-pointer with 11 seconds remaining, while adding six rebounds and three assists against Hofstra (1/29) • scored 14 points, grabbed four rebounds and had two assists at George Mason (1/31) • scored 12 points against James Madison (2/3) • scored 26 points, hitting 9 of 12 shots from the field including 4 of 5 from three-point range, against UNC Wilmington (2/7) • scored a career-high 27 points, hitting 8 of 12 shots from the floor including 4 of 6 from three-point range, at Drexel (2/10) • scored 16 points and dished out a career-high five assists versus George Mason (2/14) • had 10 points and six rebounds against Iona (2/17) • scored a game-high 24 points and added five rebounds versus Northeastern (2/21) • scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds at UNC Wilmington (2/24) • scored 17 points, hitting all three of his three-point attempts, and recorded seven rebounds in the CAA Tournament First Round against Northeastern (3/2) • scored in double figures in the final nine games of the season.

2005-06 Season: Appeared in all but three games, averaging 3.3 points and 2.0 rebounds per contest • set a career-high with four assists and hit a three-pointer at Rider (12/10) • scored a season-high 16 points, hitting all five of his field goal attempts including going 3-3 from behind the arc, against UNC Greensboro (12/19) • was ejected from the game after picking up two technical fouls and was suspended for the Central Connecticut game • scored seven points and recorded first career block at George Mason (1/7) • scored eight points on 3-of-4 shooting and grabbed four rebounds against George Mason (2/2) • scored five points and pulled down a season-high seven rebounds at UNC Wilmington (2/9) • hit four free throws late in regulation in the win at William & Mary (2/15) • tied career-highs with four assists and two steals in 30 minutes of action against the Tribe • tied his career-high with seven rebounds and added five points against Northeastern (2/23) • hit a baseline jumper with 34 seconds remaining to break a 49-49 tie in the Blue Hens’ win over Drexel in the CAA Tournament First Round (3/3) • earned Team Academic Award.

2004-05 Season: Appeared in all but three games during his freshman season • averaged 2.0 points and 1.6 rebounds per game • also averaged 10.1 minutes per contest • scored five points, grabbed five rebounds, and had a season-high two steals against James Madison (1/15) • scored a season-high 12 points versus William & Mary (2/5) • went 4-of-6 from the field against the Tribe, including 4-of-5 from three-point range • scored eight points and grabbed three rebounds against Towson (2/12) • tied his season-high with five rebounds versus Auburn (12/20).

Prep School
Played at Bridgton Academy in Bridgton, Maine during the 2003-04 season • Bridgton went 27-6 and finished the season ranked No. 4 in the final 2004 National Prep School ranking • teammates included Robert Vaden (Indiana/UAB) and Rahshon Clark (Iowa State).

High School
McDonald’s All-American nominee • four-year letterwinner in basketball • three-year all-district selection and was an all-state honoree as a senior • named to Mike Kehoe Classic All-Tournament Team • holds school records in five offensive categories and ranks in the top five in eight other categories • scored 1,411 points and grabbed 641 rebounds in his high school career • also played baseball for two years at Jefferson City • named to academic honor roll.

Samuel Hugh "Sam" McMahon • son of Brad and Sandra McMahon • father played football at NCAA I-AA power University of Northern Iowa • second of four children • used to be an American Legion baseball umpire • honor student as a sport management major at Delaware with a minor in educational studies.
