NEWARK, DE -- University of Delaware senior guard
Tyrone Perry sent the game into overtime with a late
basket and scored seven of his 11 points in overtime and
LeVar Folk missed a twisting shot in the lane with one
second left as the host Blue Hens held on for a 75-74

Tuesday night at the Bob Carpenter Center.
Delaware (10-2, 3-0 America East), which got 15 points

left in regulation.
Forward Walter Brown scored 21 points and pulled 10
rebounds and Jean Avebe came off the bench to score a
career-high 16 points for Boston University (5-6, 1-2),
which had a two-game win streak snapped. The game was a
rematch of last year's America East championship game won by
Delaware.
Delaware took a 35-27 halftime lead but Boston University
quicky recovered and took a six point lead at 61-55 on a
Mike Costello three-pointer with 3:20 left. After Delaware
tied the score, BU went up 67-63 on a dunk by Brown with 53
seconds left. But Delaware rallied as Greg Miller hit
a layup and two free throws and Perry hit a jumper in the
lane with seven seconds left to send the game into the extra
session.
Perry opened up the extra session with a three-pointer
and followed with a jumper and two free throws, but the
Terriers tied the score at 74-74 on a Brown layup with 34

the lead with one free throw with 15 seconds left. Folk then
missed a twisting layup in the lane just before the final
