Delaware at Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, CT -- The
University of Delaware men's cross country team opened the
1999 season with a third place finish Saturday at the
Hartford Invitational.
Mike DiGennaro led the Delaware
men with a second place finish. DiGennaro completed the
five-mile course in 26:27, eight seconds behind frontrunner
Gregory Salamone of Marist. Peter Kelly was
Delaware's next finisher in 13th place.
Maine won the men's team title with 36
points, also placing four runners in the Top 10.
Delaware hosts its first of two
invitationals next Saturday at White Clay Creek State Park
beginning at 10:30 a.m.
