UNIVERSITY PARK, PA -- Senior Mike
DiGennaro finished 20th in the men's meet and Aimee
Alexander finished 66th in the women's race to lead the
University of Delaware men's and women's cross country teams
at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional held on the Penn State
campus Saturday afternoon.
The Blue Hen men finished in 13th place
out of 25 teams with 346 points. Georgetown won the meet
with 41 points, followed by Villanova (57), St. Francis
(98), Penn State (112) and Princeton (147).
The Delaware women finished in 14th place
out of 24 teams with 407 points. Georgeotwn won the women's
meet as well with 36 points, followed by West Virginia (94),
Villanova (96), Bucknell (132) and Navy (168).
DiGennaro finished with a time of
31:12.94. Fairleigh Dickinson's Stephen Ondieki won the
indivuidual title with a time of 30:21.06. Delaware's Pat
Riley also finished 34th with a time of 31:40.47.
Alexander finished with a time of
23:00.52. Villanova's Ann McGranahan won the individual
title with a time of 20:32.34.
