BETHLEHEM, PA -- The University of Delaware men's cross country team finished sixth out of 38 teams at the Paul Short Invitational on the campus of Lehigh University Saturday morning. The Blue Hens were paced by Mike DiGennaro's individual eighth-place finish. DiGennaro completed the course in 24:46.14. Adrian Blincoe of Villanova won the race with a time of 24:08.83. Michigan State won the team title with a score of 65, followed by Cornell (105), Navy (117), Army (124), St. Joseph's (171) and Delaware (253). For Delaware, Pat Riley (25:17.01) finished 26th, Peter Kelly (25:54.10) finished 67th and Pat Boettcher (26:00.27) placed 73rd. The Blue Hens will host the second UD Invitational of the season next Saturday morning at White Clay Creek State Park.
