PRINCETON, N.J. -- The University of Delaware men’s and women’s cross country teams opened their seasons with the Old Nassau Run in Princeton this Saturday. The men’s team finished fourth in the 8k race with 108 total points and the women finished sixth in the 6k race with 174 points.
Junior Chris Bourke (at right) was Delaware’s top finisher for the men. He placed 10th with a time of 25:53.40. Sophomore Pierce Conlon (17th) and Nick Pyle (23) also finished in the top 25.
In the women’s race, Julia Somers was Delaware’s top-finisher, coming in 16th place on the day for the Hens with a time of 23:01.20. Delaware’s next two finishers were Christina and Yianna Antonopoulos. They finished 32nd and 33rd, respectively.
