 NEW ORLEANS -- The University of Delaware men’s and women’s cross country squads are each ranked No. 14 in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Mid-Atlantic Region poll announced this week.
The Blue Hens will be in action this Saturday when they host the Blue & Gold Invitational at White Clay Creek State Park. The men’s race will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by the women’s race at 11:15 a.m.
The meet will include Delaware, American, Coppin State, Delaware State, District of Columbia, George Mason, Holy Family, Howard, Lincoln, Loyola, Millersville, Morgan State, Temple, Towson, West Chester, and Maryland Eastern Shore.
Georgetown earned the top spot in the men’s Mid-Atlantic poll followed by Villanova, Princeton, Navy, LaSalle, Saint Joseph’s, Penn State, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Bucknell, Duquesne, American, Temple, Delaware, and Pittsburgh.
Villanova was the top ranked team on the women’s side followed by West Virginia, Princeton, Penn State, Georgetown, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Navy, Bucknell, LaSalle, Duquesne, George Washington, Saint Joseph’s, Delaware, and Lehigh.
