WILLIAMSBURG, VA -- Junior Pat Riley won the men's race and senior Aimee Alexander finished third on the women's side to pace the University of Delaware men's and women's cross country teams to a pair of second place team finishes at the Colonial Cross Country Invitational. Riley, a native of Newark, DE and graduate of St. Mark's HS, won the men's race in a time of 25:32.9, outdistancing Virginia's James Catano, who finished second in 25:53.8. Delaware's Mike Sadowsky was fifth in 26:03.1, while Pat Boettcher was seventh just over four seconds behind Sadowsky. Alexander's third-place finish in 18:51.4 led the Blue Hens. Freshman Ashley Olsen finished seventh in 19:12.6, while senior Karen Reber also notched a Top 10 finish by placing ninth with a time of 19:21.3. East Carolina's Johanna Allen won the women's race in a time of 18:09.8. Virginia swept both the men's and women's team titles. The Blue Hen men and women return to Virginia next weekend to compete in the George Mason Invitational.
