 Riley Finishes Fifth to Lead Blue Hens

 

BRONX, NY-- Senior Pat Riley finished fifth to pace the University of Delaware men's cross country team to a seventh place finish at the IC4A Championships at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx on Saturday.

Riley finished the course in 25:55.6, 15 seconds behind individual champion Xavier Deboissezon of Colgate. Matt Harrell was Delaware's next best finisher in 25th place. Riley and Harrell each earned All-East honors for their top 25 finishes.

In the women's race, Erin Gemmill finished 42nd (19:22.5) and Kate Klim was 55th (19:59.6) to lead Delaware to a ninth place finish. Stoney Brook's Leonora Joy won the individual title in 17:43.1.
