America East Championships
at Towson State University

2nd Place
The University of Delaware men's cross country team placed
2nd overall at the America East Championships held at Oregon
Ridge Park in Towson, Md.
New Hampshire won its first ever conference title, ending
a nine-year reign by Boston University. UNH's Kevin Horgan
won the individual title in a time of 25:24 over the five
mile course. Delaware was second in the eight-team
field.
The Delaware men, who posted their best finish ever in
America East Championship competition, were led by junior
Mike DiGennaro who placed third in a time of 25:36. The
third place finish was the highest for a UD runner since
1962 when Roy Jernigan was second at the Middle Atlantic
Conference meet.
Also for the Hens, senior Dave Geesaman was fourth at the
meet for the second straight year in a time of 25:37 and
senior Jeremy Muratore place ninth in a time of 26:06.
