Delaware at the NCAA Region II Championships at

The University of Delaware men's cross country
team placed 12th at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals
at Navy on Saturday. Princeton had four runners
finish in the Top 15 as the Tigers finished in
first with 57 points. Daniel Kinyua from Mt. St.
Mary's led the field individually with a time of
30:57.71. Georgetown, Bucknell, Villanova and West
Virginia rounded out the Top Five teams. The
Delaware men were led by Mike DiGennaro
(Hamilton-Wenham/Essex, Mass.) who finished 41st
with a time of 32:30.59. The Blue Hens were also
paced by Dave Geesamen (Central Dauphin/
Harrisburg, Pa.) who finished 59th with a time of
32:53.92 and Mike Puglisi (St.
Mark's/Newark, Del.) who finished 79th with a time
of 33:31.75.
