The meet was the final action before this
week's IC4A and ECAC regional championships in
Boston.
The Delaware women set three of the
records led by freshman Mandy Stille who shattered
the UD long jump record as she finished second overall with
a leap of 18-10 3/4, breaking the mark of 18-1 1/4 set by
Angel Rollins in 1998 and surpassing her previous
best of 17-8 3/4 earlier this season. Stille also placed
third in the 60 meter hurdles Friday night.
Also for the UD women, Tyechia
Smith placed fourth in the 500 meters with a school
record time of 1:15.70, breaking the old Delaware mark of
1:17.71 by Alison Farrance back in 1986, and freshman
Brittany Wright tied the school record in the 60
meters (7.88) by placing fourth overall. She matched the
record of 7.88 by Daniella Price set last year.
Wright also placed eighth in the 400 meters with a time of
58.24 on Friday.
The Delaware men set a freshman record in
the 4 x 800 meter relay as the team of Mike Zeberkiewicz,
Mike Roth, Brad Dodson, (right) and Kyle
Schmid ran to a time of 7:58.12 to place fifth, breaking
the UD mark set back in 1991.

was second in the 60 meter hurdles (8.36), Sidney
Haugabrook was fourth in the 60 meters (6.97), and

total of 13 Blue Hen men's athletes competed in the
meet.
