HIGH SCHOOL: Competed in football, basketball, and lacrosse at Owings Mills High School...played linebacker, tight end, and kicker in football, forward in basketball...earned All-Baltimore County honors twice in lacrosse when he also was named team MVP...all-time leading scorer in Owings Mills High School history...honor roll student.

AT DELAWARE: Third-year team member and two-year letterwinner...left-hander who is a key member of Blue Hen midfield...will battle for starting spot this season...big, strong midfielder who is an aggressive scorer...can be overpowering on defenders...has appeared in 26 career games and scored 26 points on 19 goals and seven assists...switched number from 28 to 23 this spring...2005: Played in all 16 games with one start...member of Blue Hens’ second midfield unit...was team’s sixth leading scorer with 23 points on 18 goals and five assists...had 60 shots and added 15 groundballs...scoredi n 10 different games in leading Blue Hens to CAA regular season title and NCAA Tournament berth...had two or more goals seven times with career-high three goals vs. Villanova...had career-best four points on two goals and two assists vs. Sacred Heart...scored goal in CAA semifinal win over Hofstra...2004: Played in 10 games in a backup role at midfield as a freshman...had one goal and two assists on 12 shots to go with four groundballs...scored first career goal vs. UMBC.

PERSONAL: Daniel Isaac “Dan” Deckelbaum...born Feb. 10, 1985...son of Jack and Debra Deckelbaum...fitness management major at Delaware...has one younger brother...father played lacrosse at Johns Hopkins in 1972-76...mother is a dance teacher.
