HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year starter in goal at Mt. St. Joseph’s High School...named team captain and Most Valuable Player as a senior...finalist for C. Markland Kelly Award as a senior....recorded 213 saves in his final season...National Honor Society...senior leader.

AT DELAWARE: Third-year team member with sophomore eligibility...after serving as a backup the last two seasons behind All-American and current assistant coach Chris Collins, will most likely take over starting spot this spring...will battle with redshirt freshman Warren Mayberry to replace Collins...outstanding team leader who shows great hustle and stick skills...outstanding at creating transition...2005: Did not see game action as team’s No. 3 goalkeeper and retained sophomore eligibility...named to Colonial Athletic Association Academic Honor Roll...2004: Saw action in three games as a freshman backup to Collins...saw 24:36 minutes of action and recorded five saves (.714 pct.) and allowed two goals (4.88 gaa)...posted career-highs of 15 minutes and three saves (one goal) vs. Mt. St. Mary’s...saw six minutes of action and had two saves (one goal) vs. Stony Brook...saw 3:36 of action vs. Rutgers but did not face a shot.

PERSONAL: Thomas Foster “Tommy” Scherr (“share”)...born Aug. 30, 1985...son of Stuart and Pam Scherr...chemical engineering major with a minor in mathematical sciences...worked as a lacrosse camp counselor during the summer...plays the guitar and also enjoys scuba diving...has an older sister...both parents are graduates of Frostburg State...father played college lacrosse at Frostburg State and cousin, Rob Scherr, played at Johns Hopkins...father is a podiatrist.
