NEWARK, Del. -- Nearly 13,000 tickets have been pre-sold for the inaugural Big City Classic which will be held on Saturday, April 4 at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. and will involve the University of Delaware men’s lacrosse squad.
The Big City Classic tripleheader lineup will include current No. 1 ranked Virginia taking on No. 12 North Carolina at 12 noon, No. 2 Syracuse playing No. 5 Princeton at 2:30 p.m., and Delaware closing out the day with a key Colonial Athletic Association matchup vs. No. 6 Hofstra at 5 p.m.
Ticket prices are $25 for lower level reserved seats and $40 for Mezzanine Level seats. Group tickets (10 or more) are available in advance for $15 each. Pre-paid parking passes are also available for $20 per car and $30 per bus.
Fans can order tickets at www.ticketmaster.com, www.BigCityClassic.com, or by phone at 800-745-3000. Tickets will also be available at the gate the day of the game.
Delaware will looking to head into the Big City Classic on a strong note as the Blue Hens (3-6) travel to No. 13 Brown to take on the Bears this Saturday, March 28, at 1 p.m. in Providence, R.I.
Delaware, led by high-scoring All-American attackman Curtis Dickson (at right), snapped a four-game losing streak with a 9-5 win over Lehigh Tuesday night and will be trying to avenge a 9-6 loss to Brown a year ago in Newark.
Brown, which went 11-3 a year ago, enters with a record of 6-1 and has won five straight games.
