NEWARK, Del. -- For the first time ever, special single game group tickets will be available for fans to purchase and witness up close the exciting, high-scoring action of 2010 University of Delaware Blue Hen men’s and women’s lacrosse this spring.

The Blue Hen men (3-1), currently ranked No. 16 in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association national Top 20 poll heading into Saturday’s home opener vs. Albany, will play all six of their home games for the first time this season in the new-look Delaware Stadium beginning this Saturday. A new FieldTurf surface was installed in the 22,000-seat stadium last month, replacing the grass surface that had been part of the facility since it opened in 1952.

The Delaware women (1-1, who will continue to play all of their games at Rullo Stadium, the team’s home since the venue opened in 1999, will host its next game this Saturday, March 6 vs. Rutgers at 3 p.m.. The Blue Hens, who advanced to the Colonial Athletic Association championship game last May, will play all of their home games at Delaware Stadium beginning with the 2011 season.

Groups (20-person minimum) can now purchase tickets in advance for both the upcoming men’s and women’s lacrosse seasons by calling the UD Group Ticket Office at 302-831-2257. Group orders must be received 72 hours in advance of the game. The cost is $2 per ticket.

Regular pricing for men’s lacrosse tickets is $5 for adults and $3 for children 17 and under while prices for women’s games are $4 for adults and $2 for children 17 and under. University of Delaware students with valid identification are admitted free. There are no advance sales for individual tickets.
