HIGH SCHOOL: Two-year lacrosse standout at West Genesee High School...led team to 19-4 record as a senior...earned All-Section honors as a senior...team won section title his junior year...National Honor Society...AT DELAWARE: Third-year member of squad...has earned one letter...has appeared in six career games in a reserve role...will battle for spot in Hens' No. 3 midfield unit...2003: Played in three games in a reserve role and earned first varsity letter...appeared in games vs. Manhattan, Stony Brook, and Sacred Heart but did not record a statistic...2002: Played in three games with two starts as a freshman...had one shot on goal...PERSONAL: David Gerard Powers...born September 22, 1983...son of John and Rega Powers...business major at Delaware...youngest of four children in a family full of lacrosse talent...oldest brother, Randy, was an All-American at Delaware during his career in 1983-86, is UD's all-time goals leader (161), and was inducted into the UD Athletics Hall of Fame in November, 2000...brother, Mike, was a standout lacrosse player at Syracuse...works as a youth lacrosse coach during the summer....father graduated from Syracuse.
