High School: Three-sport standout in basketball, lacrosse, and football at the Severn School...earned All-MIAA honors in both football and basketball as a senior...All-Anne Arundel county in basketball...earned All-Arundel County honors in lacrosse as a senior when he earned team’s Best Defensive Player Award...honor roll student.

At Delaware: Fourth-year member of squad...two-year letterwinner...will serve as team co-captain in 2008...named a pre-season honorable mention All-American by Inside Lacrosse...ranked No. 16 nationally among all defensemen by Inside Lacrosse in pre-season rankings...big, strong defender and a great one-on-one defender...one of team's most athletic players...great attitude...key member of experienced and talented Delaware defense that features three seniors...has played in 31 career games with 10 starts and has two assists and 33 groundballs.

2007 Season: Played in all 19 games with 10 starts and played a key role on defense for Delaware team that captured the Colonial Athletic Association title and an NCAA Final Four berth...keyed a defense that ranked No. 2 nationally in man-down defense (.817) and No. 16 in scoring defense (8.05)...dished out two assists, picked up 30 groundballs, and ranked second on the team with 21 caused turnovers...dished out assists vs. Rutgers and in NCAA Tournament win over Virginia...also scooped up a season-high five groundballs and caushed two turnovers in win over Virginia...had three caused turnovers vs. Lehigh.

2006 Season: Did not see game action while rehabilitating a knee injury suffered during the fall practice season...team advanced to the CAA championship game.

2005 Season: Earned first varsity letter as he appeared in 12 games in a backup role...key defender in man-down situations...recorded three groundballs and had one penalty for one minute...team advanced to the NCAA Tournament.

2004: Did not see action and retained freshman eligibility.

Personal: Evan Vale Crowther-Washburn...born Sept. 25, 1984...son of Edward Washburn and Gay Crowther...English major with a journalism minor who would like to go into television journalism after graduation...enjoys boating...father is a boat salesman and mother is a landscape architect...worked an internship with the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs in 2005 and as an intern with WBFF TV in Baltimore in 2007...has been active as a volunteer with Special Olympics at Delaware...has written for the UD student newspaper The Review.
