High School: Played basketball and lacrosse at Walt Whitman High School...three-year letterwinner as a midfielder for head coach Frank Rossi in lacrosse...served as team captain as a senior...all-league pick as a senior...earned three letters as a point guard in basketball for head coach Tom Fitzpatrick...two-time team captain...earned all-league honors as a senior and academic all-league honors twice...National Honor Society student.

At Delaware: Third-year member of the squad...sophomore who will add depth to a talented and experienced defensive unit.

2008 Season: Appeared in three games as a backup defensive player for the Blue Hens...saw action against Georgetown, Robert Morris and Sacred Heart and recorded one groundball on the season.

2007 Season: Saw action in one game as a backup defensive player for the Blue Hens...helped lead the team to the Colonial Athletic Association title and a berth in the NCAA Final Four....saw action vs. Manhattan but did not record a statistic...retained freshman eligibility.

Personal: Dan Richard Mills...son of Richard and Patricia Mills...business finance major at Delaware...has one younger brother...father, Rich, is a physical education teacher who earned All-American honors twice as a player for the Blue Hens...Rich was a three-time All-East Coast Conference selection who led the Hens to two league titles and led the nation in assists (47) and points (75) in 1975...works as a camp counselor and waiter during the summer...hobbies include listening to music and playing basketball and football.
