High School: Played lacrosse and soccer at St. Paul's School for Boys...played lacrosse for coaches Rick Brocato and Mitch Whiteley...four-year letterwinner and two-year starter in goal...led team to MIAA state title in 2004...played in 2006 Under Armour Junior All-Star Game...was named Gelston Memorial Award winner as top defensive player...two-time All-State selection...set school record with 217 saves in 2007...played goalkeeper in soccer for one season in 2006.
At Delaware: Second-year member of the squad...will battle for No. 2 goalkeeper spot behind sophomore Noah Fossner.
2008 Season: Did not see game action and retained freshman eligibility.
Personal: Stuart William "Stu" Wheeler...son of Robert and Donna Wheeler...operations management at Delaware...has an older brother, Robert, who is a junior goallkeeper at Delaware's CAA rival Towson...worked with his father's marine business during the summers...plays the harmonica...hobbies include hunting, fishing, and cooking.
