CHESTER, PA -- The University of Delaware swept the men’s pole vault competition and Dave Schwartz captured the hammer throw Saturday at the Philadelphia Master’s/Middle Atlantic United States Track Association Open Meet held at Widener University’s Leslie Quick Stadium.
Schwartz captured the college men’s hammer throw competition with a toss of 156-feet, 8-inches.
In the pole vault, Delaware dominated the collegiate men’s competition as Jake Cohen (at right) won the event with a leap of 13-feet, 6-inches.
Also for Delaware in the pole vault, George Vallone placed second with a jump of 13-feet while Steve Theroux was third with a career-best vault of 12-feet, 6-inches.
No other UD student-athletes competed at the meet.
Delaware will compete at the Last Chance/Tuppeny Twilight Meet Tuesday at Swarthmore (PA) University at 5 p.m.
