Nesbitt Places
Ninth in 400 Meter Hurdles
PRINCETON, NJ -- University of
Delaware freshman Brandon Nesbitt placed ninth
overall in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles as the Blue
Hens' lone varsity competitor Saturday at the Princeton
University Outdoor Track and Field Invitational at Weaver
Stadium.
Nesbitt, a freshman from Trenton, NJ
(Ewing HS), placed ninth overall with a time of 54.91, his
second best time of the season, to lead the Blue Hens. The
winning time was 50.87 by Watts Mario of the Jamaica Track
Club.
Nesbitt placed second in the event at the
America East championships last week at
Northeastern.
Also competing at the meet were
University of Delaware graduate Mike DiGennaro in the
men's 3,000-meter steeplechase and UD women's track and
field assistant coach Nadine Marks in the 1,500
meters.
DiGennaro won the event with a time of
8:44.44 while Marks won her race in a time of 4:23.83
representing the Saucon Track Club.
