NEWARK, DE - The University of
Delaware men's soccer team dropped its match with Hartford,
1-0 Friday.
Delaware (5-11-1, 3-5 America East)
battled Hartford (9-6-2, 6-0-2 America East) to a scoreless
first half.
It was not until 61:50 into the game
(11:50 into the second half) when Hartford scored the first
and only goal of the game. The Hawks' Asaf Lubezky scored
on a header. He was fed off of head pass from teammate
Cristoffer Hartmann. Dominic Willock started the sequence
with a feed to Hartmann.
With the win, Hartford seals the top spot
for the upcoming America East men's tournament. They will
have home-field advantage in the campus-site tournament.
Delaware will play host to conference
opponent Vermont on Sunday. The game will be played at 1
p.m. at the Delaware Mini-Stadium.
