EASTON, PA -- The University of
Delaware stormed from behind to defeat Lafayette College in
overtime, 3-2, Tuesday snapping a four- game losing skid.
The Hens struck first on sophomore Dan
Keane's first goal of the season coming at the 33:15
mark of the first half.
The Leopards came out in the second half
and took the lead, 2-1, on goals by Leidy Klotz, scoring
2:19 into the half, and Jake Ross, who scored the go-ahead
goal 15:30 into the second half.
With just under five minutes left in
regulation, however, Delaware tied the score on a goal by
freshman Nick Kreider off of a feed from sophomore
David Hudson.
Delaware notched its first victory of the
season when freshman Mike Honeysett booted the
game-winner off an assist from junior Todd Everett
4:41 into sudden-death overtime.
The Hens (1-4) host Temple Sunday at
12:30 p.m. at Delaware Mini- Stadium.
