Williamsburg, VA -- Attila Vendegh
scored the first two goals of the game as the Old Dominion
men's soccer team blanked the University of Delaware, 4-0,
Saturday at the William & Mary Tournament.
Delaware (0-4), playing without captain
Todd Everett, managed just four shots. Goalkeeper
Nick Konawalik made 16 saves in the
defeat.
Old Dominion (1-1-1) scored all four of
its goals in an 11-minute span in the first half. After
Vendegh's two goals, Carlos Mendes and Arne Hohenstein
netted goals to complete the scoring.
Delaware's Brian Shepanski and
Kyle Shilcock-Elliott were both named to the
All-Tournament team.
Delaware returns to action Sept. 13 when
the Blue Hens travel to Temple for a 3:30 start.
