PHILADELPHIA -- The University of
Delaware men's soccer team got its first win of the season
by defeating Temple University, 2-1, Wednesday afternoon in
Philadelphia.
After Temple (1-3) opened the scoring,
Delaware (1-4) tied the game when Mat Dunbar
scored off a feed from Brian Shepanski. Later in the
first half, Kyle Shilcock-Elliott scored off a pass from
Seth Duhl to give the Blue Hens the lead.
No goals were scored in the second half,
as Delaware hung on for the victory.
Matt Kaufman scored the lone goal for the
Owls.
Delaware returns to action Saturday at 3
p.m., when the Blue Hens travel to Bethlehem, PA, to take on
Lehigh.
