NEWARK, DE -- Randy Tolson scored
an unassisted goal 15 minutes into the match to give the
Towson University men's soccer team a 1-0 win over the
University of Delaware Saturday afternoon at Delaware
Field.
Tolson scored off of backup goalkeeper
Alex McGroarty, who was starting in place of the
injured Nick Konawalik.
Delaware (1-10, 0-3 America East)
mustered five shots but could not score past Towson
goalkeeper Chris Hurley, who made one save to collect the
shutout.
Towson (4-6-1, 1-1-1) recorded 12 shots,
including many in the final 10 minutes as Delaware pushed to
tie the game.
The Blue Hens will continue their home
stand Tuesday when they host Navy at Delaware Field for a
3:30 p.m. match.
