ANNAPOLIS, MD -- Justin Fishburn scored the game-winner with 4:58 left in overtime as host Navy posted a 2-1 men's soccer victory over the University of Delaware Wednesday evening.

The Blue Hens lost for the fourth time in their last five games to fall to 4-7 on the season while Navy won its fourth overtime game of the year to improve to 7-1-2. Three of Delaware's seven losses this season have been by one goal.

Navy got on the board first just 15 minutes and 21 seconds into the contest when Jeff Sanchez took a header pass from Craig Ruhs and drove through the UD defense, scoring past goalkeeper Kyle Haynes (one save) for a 1-0 lead.

But Delaware struck right back, tying the game at 1-1 just 75 seconds later when Jeff Skinner took a feed from Kyle Shilcock-Elliott and netted a header to the far post past Brian Steckroth (six saves).

Neither team scored in the remaining 73 minutes of regulation to send the game into overtime. Fishburn then won the game for the Midshipmen 10 minutes and two seconds into the extra period when he took a feed from Ruhs and Brye Gerhardt from 20 yards out and hit the back of the nets to clinch the win.

Delaware will return to action Friday night when the Hens host America East foe Albany at 8 p.m. at the Delaware Mini-Stadium.
