NEWARK, DE -- Sophomore goalkeeper
Kyle Haynes posted his third shutout of the season as
Delaware and Iona played to a 0-0 tie in a men's soccer
match Sunday at Delaware Mini-Stadium.
Haynes, a native of St. Michael's, MD and
a product of St. Michael's HS, had five saves to notch his
seventh career shutout.
Iona goalkeeper Patrick McAllen stopped
seven shots to garner his first shutout of the
season.
With the tie, Delaware moves to 2-5-2 on
the season. Iona moved to 0-10-1 this season.
Delaware outshot Iona, 21-11, for the
game. The Blue Hens held a 11-2 advantage in corner
kicks.
The Blue Hens return to action this
Friday when they make their Colonial Athletic Association
debut at Drexel. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
