Haynes makes nine
saves in scoreless tie with James
Madison
HARRISONBURG, VA - Delaware and
James Madison played to 0-0 scoreless tie in Colonial
Athletic Association men's soccer action Friday
night.
Sophomore goalkeeper Kyle Haynes
tied a season-high with nine saves to post his fourth
shutout of the season and seventh of his career. Josh
Kovolenko stopped two shots for James Madison (6-9-2/1-3-2
CAA).
The Dukes outshot the Blue Hens 16-5, and
held a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks.
Delaware's four ties this season marks
the second time in the program's 77 year history that a team
has garnered as many draws in one season. The 1962 club went
1-7-4 to set the mark
Delaware (2-9-4, 0-4-2 CAA) returns to
action Sunday when they visit CAA rival George Mason. Game
time is set for 1 p.m.
