NEWARK, DE -- Brian Kluckman
scored midway though the second half to lead Old Dominion to
a 1-0 victory over Delaware in a Colonial Athletic
Association men's soccer game Friday night at Delaware
Mini-Stadium.
Jim Cummins blistered a shot from
25-yards out that ricocheted off the crossbar and into the
front of the net, where Kluckman one-timed the rebound for
the game-winning tally at 62:23.
Samuel Cameron made four saves in a
winning effort for Old Dominion (6-4, 3-0).
Kyle Haynes tied his season-high
with nine saves for Delaware.
The Blue Hens had a chance to take the
lead in the first half when Adam Flanigan crossed a
pass from the left-side of the net, where Mike
Honeysett got a head on the ball, but Cameron was equal
to the task as he made the save.
The Blue Hens (2-8-2, 0-3 CAA) return to
action tomorrow night when they host conference rival
William & Mary. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
